Emily Engelman is a Registered Veterinary Technician and Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Technician with over a decade of hands-on experience in animal care, rehabilitation, and behavior. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from The Colorado College and an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Bel-Rea Institute, graduating with highest honors.

 

Emily’s career spans critical care, intensive care, and rehabilitation settings, including work at leading veterinary hospitals and specialized rehabilitation centers. Her passion for animal health is complemented by extensive field experience, from wolf ethology research to wildlife conservation projects in national parks.

 

Through Treading Water, Emily blends advanced clinical skills, compassionate care, and a deep knowledge of animal behavior to support pets in recovering, staying active, and enjoying healthier, happier lives.

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

    • Active Credentialed Professional Member, CACVT since May 2014

  • Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Technician (CCRVT)

    • Completed coursework through Canine Rehabilitation Institute in Nov. 2016
